Record breaking village show
GREEN fingered enthusiasts of all ages basked in glorious sunshine at the 58th Binfield Heath Flower and Dog show last week.
The 795 entries, the second highest in the show's history, included cake making, photography and art alongside a vast array of flowers and garden produce.
Visitors also enjoyed a dog show run by Wallingford Dog Training Club and the afternoon was accompanied by the sound of the Woodley Concert Band. Reptile handling, 'splat the rat' and car racing were the popular choices amongst the youngsters

Show secretary Fred Denton said it had been one of the best shows to date. He said: "Once again the Binfield Flower Show was a great success.
"We think over a thousand people turned up and it seemed everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
"We are all extremely happy with the way everything went."
